Yesterday I had a good workout at the gym with lots of cardio. When I got home, it was time for lunch. I was having leftovers and decided to start with a chicken salad from the other day - greens, grilled chicken, pecans, red onions, and basalmic vinaigrette. After that, I thought, I would have some leftover pizza. Here is the conversation I had with myself while eating the salad:
Me: Nom nom nom, salad. Tasty protein. Nom.
Me: So, I hear you want starch. I was planning to eat pizza after this, that has starch.
Me: But, I swear pizza has starch! And I already heated up the toaster oven...
Myself: Squash, bitch! Squash with brown sugar and cinnamon! Don't you mess with me!!
Me: Okay, squash it is.
In fact the squash was very tasty. The temptation to eat food that is not good for me after working out is, as you can see, nearly nonexistent.
