Simon Canderous is reformed. No, really, he is! He once used his talent for psychometry to figure out what antique articles to steal, but now he's put his thieving ways behind him working for the DEA (Department of Extraordinary Affairs). Occasionally he may - may! - use his talents at the flea market when money is tight. And maybe sometimes he still falls for the wrong women. Perhaps even several of them at once...
This book is what I wanted Nymphos of the Rocky Flats to be. It's funny, it's witty, there's conspiracy and cute girls, and the protagonist is definitely in the grey area between good and evil. I would have liked a little more doublecrossing, but maybe there will be in the sequel, Deader Still.
*This is a new category that I'm trying out. I'm choosing songs that are either important in the story or that I think capture some of its ambiance. Let me know what you think.
