Strange Brew edited by PN Elrod

Title: Strange Brew
Editor: PN Elrod
Genre: Fantasy anthology
Reason for Reading: I picked it up for trouble4hire at the library while she was out of town, and I read it before she got back.
Pages: 371
Copyright Date: 2009
Cover: A woman in a graveyard and an upsetting vinyl outfit is holding a golden goblet. Surprisingly for this genre, there are a LOT of green tones.
First line: "The doorbell rang."
Best part: I got this book without even knowing it existed!
Worst part: Didn't love any new authors, which is my main hope in reading anthologies.
Imaginary Theme Song: This book had no theme I could discern, another significant failing.
Grade: C
Recommended for: People that really like the featured authors.
Related Reads: My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding, also edited by Elrod, was much better.

My favorite stories here were "Seeing Eye" by Patricia Briggs, "Last Call" by Jim Butcher, and "Hecate's Golden Eye" by PN Elrod.
