This is the initial announcement that we will be having our annual Pie Breakfast this Thanksgiving morning from ten to one. (That's Thursday, November 26th.) Pies will be savory and sweet. Pies will be carnivorous, vegetarian, eggless, vegan, and gluten-free. We will also provide a recording of Alice's Restaurant, whipped cream, cider, and soy nog. (You want that soy nog, don't you?)
For this event, everyone is welcome. That includes you, your families, your sweeties, our exes, people we don't normally get along with, the random guy who you saw on the street going, "Do I smell pie?" Everyone is welcome, the more, the merrier, come one, come all, and other hospitality cliches. The only catch is that each person must bring one pie. Our leftover pies are donated annually to Rosie's Place so their residents can have pie on Thanksgiving.
A list of ingredients and a pie serving utensil will make it much, much easier for us to enjoy your pie. Most of our guests make their own pies - if you cannot do this, we recommend asking a baking-talented friend or reserving your pie at a local bakery.
If you would like to come, please RSVP with the type of pie you plan to bring. This helps us to keep a good balance of pies in the mix.
Finally, hosting a pie breakfast and making our own T-day dinner is generally too much for us. If you have a T-day dinner we'd be welcome at, please let us know, especially if it's the "orphan" rather than the "family" sort.
