Werehunter by Mercedes Lackey

Title: Werehunter
Author: Mercedes Lackey
Genre: Fantasy, short stories.
Setting: Various - a spaceship, a small town in America, the kingdom of Valdemar.
Reason for Reading: When I realized that Lackey had a book of short stories I wanted to read it.
Finished In: Weeks.
Pages: 274
Copyright Date: 1999
Cover: A cat with stubby fingers stands on its hind legs, looking at a little insectoid. A planetscape is visible through the viewscreen behind it.
First line: "It had been raining all day, a cold, dismal rain that penetrated through clothing and chilled the heart to numbness."
Best part: Actually, I enjoyed the three S'Kitty stories the most as it was an unusual setting for Lackey - they were light futuristic sci fi.
Worst part: I wish I had read this when it came out ten years ago, because by now several of the pieces in the book have been since included in full-length novels which I have read.
Imaginary Theme Song: That weird song which mashes up three different Supremes songs.
Grade: C-
Recommended for: Only hardcore Lackey fans will enjoy this book.
Related Reads: Fortress of Ice by the same author. Any Valdemar anthology.
