Divine Misdemeanors by Laurell K. Hamilton

Title: Divine Misdemeanors
Author: Laurell K. Hamilton
Series: Merry Gentry #8
Genre: Sexy Pentacle Tattoo
Setting: Modern-day Los Angeles, with fey folk.
Reason for Reading: I have not yet given up on the Merry Gentry series.
Finished In: Days. I nommed it up.
Pages: 333
Copyright Date: 2009
Cover: Apparently, a sweaty guy is sleeping while wearing an extremely sharp nail on a leather thong around his neck. If he jerks awake he will probably die of blood loss.
First line: "The smell of eucalyptus always made me think of Southern California, my home away from home; now it might forever be entwined with the scent of blood."
Best part: It has more actual plot than the last few.
Worst part: The fact that Merry doesn't remove her panties for the first hundred pages of the book causes me to suspect it may have been ghostwritten. (Do you see how this is connected to the Best Part? I bet you do.)
Imaginary Theme Song: "Don't Know Why" - Norah Jones (This is for poor Merry who doesn't have sex until page 132.)
Grade: An enthusiastic entertaining C+.
Recommended for: Those who have read the rest, like me, will be unable to resist. The rest of you could probably care less about the Faerie Princess of Porn.
Related Reads: A Kiss of Shadows, the first book. The Anita Blake books. Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison, though unsurprisingly it has less sex.
