It's that time of year again! These questions are from intuition_ist. Leave a comment and I'll ask you some, and then probably comment back to get some more. I like answering questions.

- What's the best part of reading, for you?
- What do you consider your most important sense, and why?
- In your opinion, what is the most important thing the US should do to pull out of its current downward spiral?
- How important is technology to you?
- When/how did you find out you were kinky?

- What's the best part of reading, for you?

Getting lost in a book to the extent that the real world seems unimportant. Of course, this experience cannot last, and there are lots of good things in the real world anyway. (If I believed in heaven, I might imagine it was experiencing one good book after another with no spaces in between.)

- What do you consider your most important sense, and why?

I would say touch. I am a sensual creature - I love how soft things feel on my skin, and warm water, and sunlight. Also, touch is an important way for me to connect with other people. Also also, without eyesight or hearing I could still learn to use touch to read.

- In your opinion, what is the most important thing the US should do to pull out of its current downward spiral?

Ha! You know, I have no idea. This is not the sort of thing I think about much, to be honest. I often tell people I'm a carpenter type, not an architect type. I can sometimes think of things that I would do if I were personally running the country, but that is because they are in line with my values, not really anything to do with the country's success as an entity.

- How important is technology to you?

I would say it's moderately important. I can't live without books, so easily accessible books are critical to me and that requires printing presses. I also would rather not live without stuff like toothpaste, deodorant, and indoor plumbing. But advanced technology like the Internet is not very important to me. I would miss it but I would cope.

- When/how did you find out you were kinky?

I think this is an interesting question. I have had kinky fantasies going way, way back. So really what it was for me was finding out (through lovers) that some other people who had the same fantasies talked about them and acted them out. A SHOCK, let me tell you - for a long time I thought everyone felt the same as I did but all colluded in living normal lives as though we didn't. This realization for over a three to four year period, coinciding with my college years.
