Dance Upon the Air by Nora Roberts

Title: Dance Upon the Air
Author: Nora Roberts
Series: Three Sisters Trilogy
Genre: Fantastic romance (eg, with fantasy elements)
Setting: An island off the coast of Massachusetts, in the present day.
Reason for Reading: I really enjoyed Northern Lights so I wanted to try some more Roberts.
Finished In: Days
Pages: 400, including an excerpt from the next book
Copyright Date: 2003
Cover: There wasn't one since I read it on my Sony. That part is hard to get used to. It was also hard to remember the title of the book since it wasn't on every page. (I also think it could be harder to remember what books I've reviewed, I usually remind myself of that using the physical object as a mnemonic.)
First line: "She kept staring straight ahead as the knuckle of land, bumpy and green with distance, began revealing its secrets."
Themes: Partner abuse, rebirth, catering, magic, law enforcement.
Best part: I really enjoyed the character of Mia.
Worst part: The ending seemed a little forced to me. I wasn't convinced I had seen all the change in Nell I had wanted to see.
Imaginary Theme Song: "Never Been Gone" by Carly Simon
Grade: B-.
Recommended for: Fans of the romance genre, especially anyone tired of Sexy Pentacle Tattoo books.
Related Reads: Northern Lights by the same author, Second Sight by Amanda Quick.

Nell has come to this tiny island seeking peace and a new start. But Fate still has a few surprises in store for her. She'll rediscover old passions, old talents - and some new magic. But what will happen when the past comes back to haunt her?
